  1. National Merit Scholarship Program:
 The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and college scholarships that began in 1955.  The program offers scholarships to high-achieving students based on PSAT/NMSQT scores. To qualify for this program, you must first take the preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test in fall of 2023(in order to qualify for 2024), which serves as an initial screen of over 1.5 million entrants each year, and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements.

Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program
The Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation was established by Congress in 1986 to serve as a living memorial to honor the lifetime work of Senator Barry Goldwater, who served his country for 56 years as a soldier and statesman, including 30 years in the U.S. Senate.
By providing scholarships to college sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue research careers in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering, the Goldwater Foundation is helping ensure that the U.S. is producing the number of highly-qualified professionals the Nation needs in these critical fields.

3. The SMART Scholarship Program:
The SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program(Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation) is a combined educational and workforce development opportunity for STEM students.
SMART offers scholarships for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students pursuing a STEM degree. Scholarship recipients receive full tuition, annual stipends, internships, and guaranteed employment with the Department of Defense after graduation.

  4. The National Science Foundation
Graduate Research Fellowship Program  
The purpose of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is to help ensure the quality, vitality, and diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce of the United States. A goal of the program is to broaden participation of the full spectrum of diverse talents in STEM.

5. The Intel Science Talent Search:
The Intel Science Talent Search (Intel STS), a program of Society for Science & the Public, is the nation’s most prestigious science research competition for high school seniors with exceptional achievements in STEM research.
This scholarship program is one of the earliest starting initiatives and empowers our next generation of scientist will have gained extraordinary knowledge on the topic of STEM at a very young age and prepare them both financially and educationally for success in the STEM field.
If you are still in high school and have a passion for science, technology, engineering and mathematics, this is probably the path for you.
  6.The Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology
Each year, research reports submitted before a late-September to early-October deadline are subjected to a blind reading, and 300 outstanding research reports are selected as semifinalists. All semi-finalists received a special recognition package, with their names announced in a full page USA Today advertisement. 
From the pool of semifinalists, 30 individuals and 30 teams are selected as Regional Finalists and invited to compete during the month of November at one of the six partner universities (Caltech, UT Austin, Notre Dame, Carnegie Mellon, MIT, and Ga. Tech).

 

In addition to project content, judging is also based on the oral presentation, poster display, cited references, and the question and answer session. All regional finalists receive $1,000 scholarships and bronze medals.
One individual and one team from each region will advance to the National Finals. These Regional winners shall receive $3,000 (individual) or $6,000 (total for teams) scholarships, and silver medals.
 
 
 7. The Google Lime Scholarship Program:
Google's education and scholarship programs aim to inspire and help students become future leaders in computing and technology by breaking down the barriers that prevent them from entering these fields, and the Google Lime Scholarship Program is no different.
 
It's main goal is to to help university students with disabilities work toward their academic goals in the field of computer science. Selected students will receive 10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or 5,000 CAD (for those studying in Canada) for the 2023-2024 school year.

The Hertz Graduate Fellowship Award supports graduate students working towards a Ph.D. degree in applied physical and biological sciences, mathematics, or engineering.   9. The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Scholarships:
This scholarship program is exactly how it sounds. It is an international not-for-profit educational and service organization. Founded in 1950 and headquartered in the United States, the Society of Women Engineers is a major advocate for women in engineering and technology.

10. The National Space Club Keynote Scholarships:
 
Launched in 2013,The National Space Club Keynote Scholarships is designed to support high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate students demonstrating a strong commitment to pursue a career in one of the STEM fields. However, the scholarship amounting to $10,000 can only be used for paying the tuition fee for one year. The conditions for this grant is simple:

Conditions of Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
  • The scholarship is open to seniors in high school through graduate students.
  • The applicant must have the intention of pursuing a career in the STEM fields and plan to attend an accredited U.S. college or university to follow a course of study to pursue a career in the STEM field, with a preference for those with space related interests.
  • The applicant can only use the $15,000.00 scholarship towards tuition for the 2023-2024 academic year.
  • The applicant must not have previously spoken at the Dr. Robert H. Goddard Memorial Dinner.
